DAY 508

DAY 508 pupdate on Tugg:
Tugg woke up from a nap today to find all of Ajaxx' camping gear gone and a note in its place. The note said, "Tugg, I took the ground map so I could find where I'm going across Canada and to the North Pole, which I saw on the map is in ALASKA! That's the place Yukon Cornelius said has gold. Anyway, I've gone to hang out at the island of misfit toys for a little while, and just see what kind of good vibes they've got going! Stop by and pick me up on your way to North Pole. — Ajaxx" Tugg looked at us and said, "Guess I need to work on converting the time machine into a sled..."
5 photos today.

The nice mail lady came by today — have I mentioned that I get to see her a lot more this time of year, so I really like it when she comes by? Anyway, she brought me my very first roll of DUCT TAPE! It is a VERY cool roll of duct tape that looks kind of like paint splotches! A really good friend, who said they want to remain anonymous, sent it to me! So, THANK YOU anonymous friend!

Also, I was doing some adjustments to a couple of projector fuses on my time machine today. I figured I could use some of my new duct tape to hold a couple of the tubes in place in just the right position. All of a sudden, these two cool little fluff balls popped into space in front of my time machine! They said they know all about duct tape and know some really good things to use it for! Everyone, I would like to introduce you to "T" and "T." T is the red one in the soldier helmet with duct tape on it, and T is the sort-of pink one holding the roll of duct tape.

So, I asked T and T what they used duct tape for in their dimension, and they said they use it for just about everything! They also said it comes in all kinds of cool patterns and colors, sort of like my paint-splotchy kind here! They are kind of addicted to it! They also said it was really nice of my friends to send me rolls of it so I can do a cool project! Then I asked if they have a Tugg in their dimension, and what color cape he wears — just in case I met him when I last opened the cross-dimensional portal...

T and T said they do indeed have a Tugg in their dimension, and that T and T hang out with him a lot! They said their Tugg wears a red cape that has all kinds of shiny things on it. T and T also said that in their dimension, Tugg has a best friend named Elvis — who also wears a costume with shiny things on it! I asked if their Tugg has a Duckie, but T and T didn't know what a Duckie is. I'm guessing T and T are kind of like their Tugg's Duckie!

T and T are going to show me how to make a better and lighter time machine with duct tape — as soon as I get more! I think I'll have to go shopping! Maybe T and T will go shopping with me! That will be fun!

OK, so it's time for today's installment of my Christmas Tale/Poem...

'Twas A Night at Tugg's House!

'Twas the night before Christmas, and over at Tugg’s place,
The time machine was a whirring, and spinning in space.
There were flashes of light and whistles galore,
With no room for more gadgets, well, maybe one more.
The pups were snuggled in, fast asleep in the beds,
While dreams of cookies and bones danced in their heads.
Tugg tinkered with this and adjusted the that,
And hoped before morning he would get a small nap.

DAY 482-484

OK, I missed a couple of days, so I'm going to put a few of them here in one post!

DAY 482 pupdate on Tugg:
Tugg woke early this morning, because he knew he had a big day at Cowboys Stadium today where he was going to receive the American Kennel Club Award for Canine Excellence — the local presentation. So, he woke up early and made breakfast for everyone in the house. Just about every one had one of his breakfast burritos. Tugg said, "I wanted to make sure everybody could eat them, so it is scrambled eggs, some pumpkin, crumbled hamburger, carrots, cheese and sprinkles."
1 video today.

Here is a video from today's award presentation. I thought you might all like to see it! To everyone who was there, THANK YOU for coming out to see me today!

Local AKC ACE Award presentation

DAY 483 on Tugg:
Tugg was flipping across movie channels today, and settled in to watching a little bit of Gone With the Wind. At one point he heard one of the characters say, "I do declare." Then, he saw part of the Grapes of Wrath, and again, a character said, "I do declare." Finally, when he was watching James and the Giant Peach, he heard, "I do declare" again. So he started walking around the house saying, "I do declare" either before or after everything he said. When Ajaxx heard Tugg saying that, he looked over at him and said, "What a great idea! I'll do a eclair too! Where are they?"
4 photos today.

Yesterday, I went to Rally Days at Cowboys Stadium, where I received the local presentation of the AKC ACE award! If you haven't seen the video of that, scroll down and have a look. BUT, while I was there, I also saw a lot of friends and met a lot of new friends! This is one of my friends, Vikie, who met us outside before going in! Vikie helps lots of border collies and other dogs in need too! I wuff seeing all my friends!

In addition to me getting the American Kennel Club Award of Canine Excellence. there were some former Dallas Cowboys players who were being inducted into the Ring of Honor at Cowboys Stadium! Here I am with Larry Allen! When he played for the Cowboys, he wore #73 and has been rated in the top 100 players of all time by NFL films!

Then, while I was at Cowboys Stadium, I also sat in with former players, like "Big Cat" Leon Lett — he's on the left as you look at the photo — who was also inducted into the Ring of Honor, AND Billy Joe Dupree, who played Tight End for the Dallas Cowboys. To this day, he still holds the Cowboys record for touch downs by a tight ends with 41! That's a lot!

I had a great time at the Stadium meeting everyone, but I think I might have made a teeny tiny miscalculation... You see, late last night, I wanted to go back in time and watch me getting my AKC ACE award, and didn't want to just look at the video. So, I used my time machine and I did. BUT, when I came back, somehow, I knocked the whole time clock off its axis by about an hour! Some how I made time GO BACK an hour — almost EVERYWHERE! So, until I can figure out how to fix that, all I can do is say I'm sorry, and I'll work on getting that hour back!

DAY 484 pupdate on Tugg:
Tugg and Ajaxx watched the weatherman on the news, and he said it was going to rain today. So, Tugg dressed Ajaxx in a raincoat, rain hat and four different colored rain boots, and told him to stand out in the yard and wait until it started to rain. At lunchtime, Ajaxx came in and had lunch and asked Tugg how long he had to stand out there. Tugg told him to go back out after lunch — which Ajaxx did. After a few more hours, Ajaxx came in, took off all the rain gear and went to his bed. "If it ever starts raining, you can wake me up. Until then, I'm taking a nap!"
6 photos today.

Here are some more photos from my Rally Days at Cowboys Stadium I got to meet and play with a lot of people puppies! I was really glad they came out to see me!

When people puppies come out to the stadium they always rush right over to where I'm at so they can visit with me! I wuff that! Especially when they have cookies or something for me!

Sometimes I even get to give and get kisses and hugs — especially from people puppies! I wuff those mostest!

One of the most fun things is when I get to tell my story, and the people puppies think it's cool! Then they want to pose for a photo with me, so they can have a neat memory from their day at Cowboys Stadium! I think that's pawesome!

They had a martial arts demonstration at Cowboys Stadium during Rally Days on Saturday! I even got to give one of the people puppies who did karate a Tugg kiss! He really liked it! So, not only were there Dallas Cowboys players who were inducted into the Ring of Honor, but there were Martial arts demonstrations, I received teh American Kennel ClubAward of Canine Excellence and I gave out lots of my magazine, Texas Cats & Dogs Magazine! I'll alos tell you a secret, after my day at the stadium, I went to Nicky D's Crowley for one of the best burgers anywhere! I wonder if Dali Wall Decals could make a life-size wall decal of me in my Cowboys jersey? Wouldn't that be cool!?

I even gave some pawtographs while I was there! I signed 15 pawtograph books and 5 footballs! Maybe those will be really collectible one day — since those are the only footballs I've ever signed! I'll have some more photos tomorrow! OH, and I just want to point out one thing... EVERY TIME I'VE BEEN AT Cowboys Stadium THIS YEAR, THE Dallas Cowboys HAVE WON! I think I'm a good luck charm! Maybe they should bring me to the away games too!

DAY 477

DAY 477 pupdate on Tugg:
Tugg signed up for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writers Month) today, so he spent the day napping — after he got his writing supplies ready. He napped because NaNoWriMo starts at midnight tonight and goes until midnight November 30. The goal is to wrote a 50,000 word novel in a month. "That only comes out to a little more than 1,600 words a day," Tugg said. "Plus they have a cool website where I keep track of how many words I've written! I wonder how many times I can use the words 'cookies, bones and nap time?'"
3 photos today.

Today was Howl-O-Ween. That means that all the little people puppies, and even some grown up people, put on costumes and walked around to strangers houses and demanded they get candy or else! I saw a troop of teenage people puppies go up to our neighbors house, and I though Mr. Ross was in trouble, so I flew over there. He told me it was OK, and that "kids" are supposed to go "Trick-or-Treating." That means, you give them treats, or you get tricked... Maybe I should just go Treat-or Treating... You know, where you give me a treat and I give a treat back! That sounds better to me!

And, since I had to dress up so that no one would recognize me, this is the disguise I came up with! Did you even recognize me? I'll give you a hint of what I was going for... I have a hard hat on, a 70's mustache and a tool belt! Do you get it now? One more hint? OK, here it is... Y-M-C-A...

So, after I went Treat-or-Treating, I came home with even more candy than I left with! AND while I was out there, I ran into other dogs and people puppies, some of who were dressed as an Indian, a police man, a Navy sailor, a Biker and a Cowboy! We walked down the street Treat-or-Treating and singing to songs on the radio!

Tugg Super Hero Original Art Sketch Cards 2

There are new Original Art Sketch Cards featuring everyone's favorite super hero, Tugg, that we just put up on eBay.

Tugg calls the "Series 2" of his super hero Original art sketch cards, because this is the second time we have done a few of them featuring Tugg as a super hero other than himself.

(Everyone knows he is a super hero, so not only do you get Tugg being a super hero, but you get a super hero, Tugg, dressing up in disguise as a different super hero!)

This time around, Tugg dressed like several DC Comics super heroes!

Here they all are, but if you want to bid on them on eBay, just click on this link to see all the cool stuff we list there!

DAY 476

DAY 476 pupdate on Tugg:
Since last night was the last night of the Haunted House, Tugg and Ajaxx and everyone spent a majority of the day cleaning up inside the house and in the back yard. Since Halloween isn't until tomorrow, he wanted to leave the front yard decorated so the Trick-or-Treaters tomorrow could see it. "You know, so they might think twice about tricking, and concentrate on treating..."
3 photos today.

Today, I also worked hard on getting my firefighter's calendar finished! I think it looks pretty good! This is one of the shots that made it in there, but there was lots of good action shots too! Do you remember this shot when I went to the fire station? It was a lot of fun that day!

This is another one of the great shots that I'm in that made it into the calendar! We made some really delicious things that day! AND, did you see those great aprons the firefighters are wearing?! Those were donated for the day from my friends at Accents Retail in Burleson! AND, for any of you that are local, when the calendar comes out, you can get it from the firefighters in Crowley, OR from Accents!

One last one for today... In case you thought I was the only one who wore a cape... look at all my friends at the firehouse! They are heroes too! AND I got this quick photo of all of them wearing capes that most people never see them wearing! I guess their capes are sometimes invisible too!

DAY 472

DAY 472 pupdate on Tugg:
Tugg, along with all the other dogs in the house, decorated the front yard to go with "Tugg's Haunted House" and the Zombie shoot-em-up in the back yard. So, now, 1/2 of the front yard is a grave yard, complete with real granite grave stones with dates from the 1200's-1700's carved into them. The other half resembles a set from a cross between the Wolfman and Dracula.
5 photos today.

We were cleaning up in the back yard today, so that our "zombies" don't trip over anything when they are walking around being shot at with paintball guns in the Zombie Shoot-'em-up. All of a sudden there was a stick monster attack! I grabbed one of the leaders of the stick monster attack immediately and barked over to Ajaxx to be on the look out!

Ajaxx spotted another big stick monster, and went in for the counter attack to cut it off from the others! It was a good move!

I rushed over to help Ajaxx out, since I had already turned the stick monster I had captured into sawdust and toothpicks!

We both went to work on that evil stick monster right away! When the others saw we had dispatched the leader of the stick monster attackers and their second in command, all the other stick monsters high-tailed it out of there!

Ajaxx is getting pretty good at handling stick monsters. Next time, I won't even have to help him out when he takes one out! You know, we probably should have thought about putting stick monsters in the haunted house. They are some of the scariest things around — well, they are scary to a lot of other pups! Me, I just take them out!

DAY 470

DAY 470 pupdate on Tugg:
Tugg spent much of the day tuning his "Quantum Paralleloscope." The QP, as he calls it, examines the scientific theories of quantum physics and multiple universes — which Tugg knows exists, because his time machine once tore a hole in the space/time continuum and he met two alternate reality Tuggs.
"It's quite simple really," Tugg explained to Ajaxx earlier today. "You see, here, we are utilizing double-split experiment to demonstrate matter and energy can display characteristics of waves and particles."
Ajaxx nodded in agreement and said, "So we're establishing wave-particle duality. Do we have a screen so we can see the alternate dimension?"
"Oh, a screen..."
3 photos today.

Well, I re-potted my Agave cactus plants to their own bigger pots, because the place I wanted to put them by the front of the sidewalk is probably not a good place to put them right now. SO, I put them in bigger pots, that you can see behind me here, so I can get them good and strong before I plant them in the ground next spring!

But since I just put them in their new pots, I have to keep a sharp eye out to make sure no one comes and messes with them! Did you know that Agave are sometimes called the century plant? Some people think that all Agave plants are used to make tequila with, but that's not true. Those are Agave Tequilana, but these plants are Agave Angustifolia. Same family, different outcome if you try it.

I have a big aloe vera plant that is in another pot I want to plant in the spring time. I actually wanted to plant it this year, but with the drought we have been having it was better for it to stay in a big pot so I could really water it. I think these are going to be really cool when they grow up in a few years and get really big! I think I may have to build a green house to put the pots in over the winter, along with my peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers! There just sometimes aren't enough hours in the day!

DAY 468

DAY 468 pupdate on Tugg:
Tugg got a book in the mail from his friend Willie today, and started reading it immediately. The book is about the rock band, The Who, and it's titled "Won't Get Fooled Again." After several hours of reading, Tugg informed us that HIS band, Bark Bark Meow might just undertake doing a rock opera. Tugg walked in, looked at us and said, "You know, technology has come a long way since the olden days when The Who started. I think we can pull this off!"
7 photos today.

The flat me, aka. TOAST (Tugg-On-A-Stick-Terrier) attended the 2011 North American Flyball Association tournament in Indianapolis, with my friend Steve.

TOAST went into training, and now he's ready for some flyball! You probably didn't know that TOAST could play flyball, did you?! I really didn't either, but since TOAST is the flat me, he's got some super powers too!

Great box turn TOAST! Now RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN back over the jumps!

WOW! Look at that time! TOAST and his team are very fast. I mean, I could fly, for real, down the course, but that time is about as close as normal dogs can get to flying! Way to go team!

Today, we got another needy bullie at our house. You know every time I think we might have just a little more room, there is another bullie who needs us. I want to introduce everyone to Noggin. He has had a pretty rough go of it, but, we're going to try to make him all better! I'll tell you more of his story in a minute... I also heard mommy and daddy talking that he isn't the only one who needs help, and that there is another bullie that might need to come here too! That would mean that we are back to 4 foster dogs again — plus all of us that always live here...

Noggin was an abused dog at his last house. Someone, or someones, used to hit him with things and do other bad things to him. He's not very old, as he is only about 2 years old. As you can see, he was beat so bad at least one time, that he has a big scar tissue on his nose. So, he has a few trust issues...

I would like to ask everyone to please say special prayers for Noggin tonight! With lots of wuff, he can get better, and maybe trust again. Hopefully some time at our house will help him a lot, but he has some special issues.

Sketch Cards on eBay

For impatient people, or dogs like me, waiting for a listing on eBay to close can seem like it takes forever! I know every listing I look at seems like there are days to go, so I wait to bid. And then the end of the auction comes, I'm probably busy doing something else because I have forgotten about that cool thing I wanted to bid on and the auction is over. Of course, I find this little fact out about an hour after the auction closes, because that's when I got around to looking at eBay again!

So, I look for another cool something that is a lot like the other cool something I wanted, but since that cool something was probably something there isn't very many of, or is a one-of-a-kind item, I probably can't find one easily on eBay. That means I spend the next few hours combing through listing after listing just hoping to find that cool thing once more, and still come up empty — though I have managed to use a lot of time I needed to spend on something else, so now I have to play catch-up with whatever it was I should have been doing instead of searching for that cool thing.

I would save you  the same plight I seem to be in whenever I want that cool thing. How? You ask. By posting this right now, so that you, yes you, can be warned before an auction closes!

As I write this, there are only 6 hours left on four Howl-O-Ween themed ORIGINAL ART sketch cards I have done and posted on eBay. That means if you have been watching them and waiting — and I know that many of you have — you don't have long to get a bid in and win the sketch card(s) of your choice.

As you know, I don't do a lot of sketch cards — probably around 50 a year — and each and every one of them is an original! On the back of each one is lettered to that fact and signed! Each one comes in a protective mylar sleeve and is in a hard top-loader. AND, I hear they are like potato chips — once you get one, you want to collect more...

You can go right NOW to see all four of the Original Art Sketch Cards I have listed by following this link: TUGG'S eBay AUCTIONS

And, here are what the four little pieces of original art by me look like:

DAY 467

DAY 467 pupdate on Tugg:
We caught Tugg walking around the house singing, "My bologna has a first name..." early this morning. Then, after lunch we caught him singing the same song again. Once again, after dinner he was singing the same song. When we held up the rinds we found yesterday, Tugg looked at us and said, "What are those?" Then he walked around humming that same song...
4 photos today.

I was going to put up some different photos today, but while mommy and daddy were working on photos for my firefighters and me calendar, I saw some photos they took of me and one of my girlfriends! She's a little younger than me, and is a very pretty pitty! So I thought I would share those with you instead! I'll bet you can't tell that in this photo we've got a really good game of Twister going on!

So, we were there at the fire station, and she said, "I can stick my tongue out further than you can!" I said I didn't believe her, and that on the count of 3 we should both stick our tongues out! All the firefighters and everyone was watching, and we gave them a few minutes to make some side bets if they wanted too! You should have heard everyone betting different cleaning and cooking chores, that was pawesome! "OK... 1... 2..."

‎"3!" OMG! There is no way I can compete with THAT tongue! I may be a super hero, but I think I'll stick to contests involving super powers only! Ok, let's see who is going to be cooking and cleaning...

OK since she won, I guess I have to pay up on my part of the bet, so I gave her a Tugg kiss. I think she liked it!
