DAY 226

DAY 226 pupdate on Tugg: Tugg was making his normal rounds today and noticed there was a bull outside on his fenced area — and in danger of going on the highway. Being a Bull Terrier — and a super hero — Tugg decided he would move that bull right back to the pasture it belonged in. It didn't take long, then he fixed the fence so it couldn't get out again.

I didn't actually get to go to the presentation for the mayor today, but I had my board ready, so it was there and told my story for me! Maybe next time I'll get to meet the mayor myself! If I do, I'll tell him what a good job all the people at animal control do, and how much they care about the animals — after all, that's why most of them do that job in the first place, to help animals!

I'm pretty happy with the way my new board turned out, and I'll be using it when I go to school on Friday! There are a couple of additions I want to do tomorrow on it, but it will be ready for the kids bright and early Friday! I also heard that there was a TV news crew at the mayor's function, and that they were very interested in my story! They said they might come to the school also on Friday morning! Won't that be cool?!

DAY 222

DAY 222 pupdate on Tugg: After watching his normal Saturday morning cartoons, and playing in the yard with the other dogs at the house, Tugg decided that he would help us paint the benches we are making for the waiting area at work. He did well with the paint, and only got a little on his paws, the floor, the walls, the back porch, the hall, the bedrooms...
9 comic panels today.

DAY 212

DAY 212 pupdate on Tugg: Today was another cold day here in North Texas, with the temperatures not getting above 17 F, and Tugg decided that he only wanted to be outside long enough for a quick patrol around and for a short amount of play time. We also caught him looking at various photos of birthday cakes on the internet.
1 photo, 1 video today.

Yesterday, mommy and daddy brought home another foster kitty that needs our help. Today was the first day that I got to officially meet him — I don't think he really likes dogs... yet! Mommy and daddy said I could be the one to name him, and since I was watching Finding Nemo today, I came up with a great name! I will call him... Squishy! Everyone, meet Squishy the cat! Squishy, meet everyone!

I know I said I wasn't going to upload the presentation that I have for the school kids, but since a lot of you have asked for it, I decided that it would be OK if I did upload it. So, Here is the video that basically tells my story to the kids. After they see the video, then they get to talk to me and my daddy, and they get to ask questions and stuff.

DAY 211

DAY 211 pupdate on Tugg: Tugg finally got around to finishing his video for the school presentation this Friday. He needed it to be five minutes and it comes in at exactly five minutes. He has also been glued to the weather channel, watching as the radar shows more snow slowly making its way toward us. Oh, joy.
1 photo today.

I took this photo a few days ago when the snow was on the ground. I didn't get to show it to you because of some of the other photos I did. But, it reminds me that there is MORE snow coming and it's going to get really cold again! That also reminds me that my birthday is only about a month away! Mommy and daddy say it's on March 17th. Wouldn't it be really neat if we get this snow tonight, but then we get another really good snow a little before my birthday? Like, the first weekend in March? Then go into great weather for my birthday? That would be awesome!

DAY 210

DAY 210 pupdate on Tugg: After the big win from Tugg's favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers, we thought he would just relax around the house today. Instead, we were greeted by a giant cheese statue in the living room when we came home. Tugg said it was a replica of the Lombardi Trophy, but it looked more like a big pile of cheese.
1 photo today.

It's hard to believe it's been seven months since mommy and daddy brought me home! What a great trip it's been so far!

DAY 209

DAY 209 pupdate on Tugg: Tugg is in the kitchen getting all his Super Bowl goodies ready for the big game. He's got his Green Bay Packers jersey on, and is making his famous Tugg chili! He's also getting some super nachos together, sausage links and all kinds of chips and dips. Of course the pre-game stuff is on T.V. already...
4 photos today.

Today, the TOAST (aka. Tugg-on-a-stick-terrier, aka. the flat me) has an adventure with our recent ice and snow! While I was busy saving people, TOAST was busy saving the day too! A crisis in the city and the real Tugg is elsewhere being super?! This calls for an alternate super hero! This calls for TOAST! (notice thenews chopper overhead getting ready to film the heroics!)

Never fear, TOAST is on the scene! He's the next best thing to being there!

TOAST assesses the situation and plugs the hole in the pavement with his paw! That was quick thinking!

The crisis is averted! Now the city workers and other emergency folks can handle the situation! Emergency people are the real heroes, I'm just glad TOAST could lend a paw!

And, just in case anyone was wondering what Packer thing I don't have, but would be something I would wear, it is this old style Packer helmet. I'm just throwing that out there in case anyone knows where I can get one!

DAY 208

DAY 208 pupdate on Tugg: While we were out running errands today, Tugg said he wanted to stay home and work on his video for the school kids this coming Friday. When we came home, there was thumping music coming from the house, and Tugg was hucklebutting around to a video he had made of himself in a Packers uniform! Guess he's ready for the big game! He is predicting the Packers win 24-17. He also said he wants to get a cheesehead, but we don't know where to get one around here.
4 photos today.

The sun came out today and started melting most of the ice and snow away. While that sounds like a good thing, it wasn't all good. I made a friend while I was out checking on things... and he wasn't doing so well with the temperature going above freezing.

My new little friend, Snowy, had a scarf and hat on, trying to stay cold, but the sun was really doing a number. I wore my hat and tried to tell him that everything would be OK. I'm not sure that I was telling him the whole truth!

Snowy had put on his brave face, but I think he knew that today might be his last day around. If he makes it to tonight, he'll be OK until tomorrow, but there's now much hope after that. Poor Snowy!

I was really trying everything I could to make Snowy feel better about the rising temperatures. Then I did something I feel REALLY bad about. I leaned over to tell Snowy that it would probably be OK until tomorrow, and I decided to give him a little wuff lick. When I licked him, half his face fell off! I felt so bad! I was trying to tell him it was OK, and there I was licking him and knocking half of his face onto the ground! Poor Snowy. I'll go see if there is anything left of him tomorrow.

DAY 207

DAY 207 pupdate on Tugg: Tugg was going to deliver some Meals on Wheels today, but the roads were so bad that Meals on Wheels called everyone off. So, instead, he decided he was going to fly around and make sure everyone was OK. Then he played in his tent fort for a while before working more on his video for his school visit.
4 photos today.

I got some requests to see some photos of me playing in the snow, so I made sure we took some. I had a good time playing by myself out there, but it's always more fun when you can play in the snow with someone else! In this photo, Scoop and I are playing chase. He is running along on the ground, through the snow, and I am flying beside him deciding when I'm going to tag him and he will become, "it."

If you ever wondered if there was anywhere I could just blend in, I hope this answers that for you! Being a white dog, my natural disguise is snow! Now, if you put white snow by the pink garage... Then I will totally become invisible! Am I even in this photo? Oh, yeah, there is my nose, and my eyes, so I must be!

And, while I can blend in with the snow, that doesn't mean some of my favorite bones are safely hidden away! Oh, they think they are hiding under all that white stuff, but look, I can find bones anywhere!

Of course, when you are totally suited to blend in to your surroundings, it makes it easy to ambush one of the other dogs when you are all out playing. In this photo, I use my cammo skills to set up the perfect hit and run for a great game of chase! Playing in the snow is fun, but tiring!

DAY 206

DAY 206 pupdate on Tugg: Tugg put on his little red cape, looked at us, and said, "a super hero has got to do what a super hero has got to do!" Then, he took two running steps and flew away. We thought he would probably just patrol the neighborhood, but then we saw him on the noon news, pulling stranded motorists out of ditches they had slid into because of the ice.
0 photos, 1 video today.

The song from yesterday's video was stuck in my head all day, so I was singing and humming while I did some super hero duties today. It got me to thinking — you know, Discovery Channel, who did the music and ran it as a really cool commercial a year or so ago, also did a follow up commercial several months later. Since they did a follow up, I should probably do a follow up too! So, I guess that means that I need to do part two!
I present to you, "The World is Just Awesome, aka. I Wuff the Whole World Part 2" http://bit.ly/ePR9Ai

DAY 205

DAY 205 pupdate on Tugg: Tugg stayed inside and played in his tent fort today, first pretending to be a general in charge of his plastic army men, and then pretending to be Tuggzilla and raiding the city the army men were defending. He went out a couple of times, but set a record for getting back in!
0 photos, 1 video t
oday.

OK, since I needed to stay inside because of the weather, I decided to make another video today! I just want to say how much I wuff the whole world! I do think I need to warn you that once you watch the video, you'll be singing this song for hours, if not days... But, that's OK, just go ahead and watch the video again and sing along!

DAY 204

DAY 204 pupdate on Tugg: Since the weather was sooo inviting today (3 inches of ice and temps 10-20 that's -6 to -12 C) Tugg decided it was a good day to stay inside most of the day. He also decided that it might be a good time to practice one of his new favorite tricks — seeing how many toys he can carry in his mouth at any one time. So far, his record is four.
2 photos today.

I was thinking what kind of roles I might like to play on the silver screen, if the opportunity ever came my way. Aside from a gripping dramatic role that could win me an Oscar, or a tender romantic role that would land me on some top 10 list in People magazine, I think a monster role could be fun! I could play one of the velociraptors in Jurassic Park Part 9 — or whatever number they are up to now. Or, I could play Godzilla and I could hucklebutt through a whole stage of miniatures! That would be totally awesome! That is such a great idea, I need to find a producer and take on the project myself! Any directors out there want to take on the challenge?!

This is from my fashion outing the other day. Here, which is more appropriate for today, than the 70 degree temps of when it was tried on a few days ago, I model a very cute yellow rain coat! Notice how I am striking a dramatic pose. That's the sort of moody dramatic role I could pull off for an Oscar!

OK, here's a bonus photo for tonight... TUGGZILLA!

DAY 203

DAY 203 pupdate on Tugg: We came home to find many crumpled pieces of paper in the studio and Tugg hard at work on a logo for LEASH. When we asked him if there was any that he liked, he said there were pieces on different ones. Then, we could almost see the lightbulb go on over his head. Hopefully he'll have one done by tomorrow — or the weekend.
1 photo today.

I started thinking about my maybe becoming an actor. One train of thought led to another, and if a stage director does not want to cast me, then perhaps a film director might be interested! So, since I might need to do some homework on the way screen actors ply their craft — and yes, I watched the SAG awards — I went to the movies! Oh, yes, you will see me on one of those posters one day — even if I have to draw it and hang it up there myself!

DAY 202

DAY 202 pupdate on Tugg: Tugg decided that he and his fellow super hero dogs — which we found out are not all bull terriers — need some kind of name for their super group. We got a sneak peek at some of the promotional material and business cards he ordered. It will be called LEASH — League of Extraordinary Animal Super Heroes. More info when we see the logo!
1 photo today.

Mommy and daddy dragged me around to go school clothes shopping today. There were lots of decent outfits, but then they tried to stick this striped thing on me! Don't they know that stripes are only good for soccer, rugby and field hockey players AND evil doers locked up behind bars!? I don't fall into any of those groups. I had to tell them what I thought...

DAY 201

DAY 201 pupdate on Tugg: Tugg spent most of the day trying to get ready for his first school appearance early next month. He started working on another video — that he can show before he comes out to talk — and went an posed for several new photos to be included in the video and to pawtograph at the event. He also counted his "I wuff Tugg" wrist bands to make sure he has enough to give out to the kids.
2 photos today.

I started working on a video to show the kids at one of the schools I'm going to next month. I want to tell my story, but I also want to be sure I tell the kids some things they need to know — you know, things that will make them better pet owners! When this photo comes up, I'm going to talk about the importance of good nutrition! What kind of things do you think I should talk about?

While I was out shooting today, I had to make sure I was ever vigilant against the approach of any bad guys! I know I wasn't wearing my cape here, but a super hero is a super hero, whether in costume or not! Look, even my shadow has that hero look about it! I'll bet I can turn this into a comic strip!

Just a reminder that there are a few sketch cards closing in about 2 hours. Here is the link to one of them, and if you look at other items, you'll see the others.http://bit.ly/fPTXR1

Day 200

DAY 200 pupdate on Tugg: Well, since everyone got a sneak peek, we guess it's OK to tell you that Tugg will be the cover dog and the pinup with story in the February issue of Texas Cats & Dogs Magazine. But, fame still hasn't gone to his head. Tugg dragged his tent fort back inside and played in it most of the day.
5 photos today.

I decided that today just needed to be a play day, so I took all of my tent fort stuff back inside where I could make a fort to play in! I made sure I stocked it with a bunch of toys so I could spend the whole day in it!

Here, I discuss what rope froggie will do during the next meeting I have with my super hero buddies, while Duckie chills out. Tent forts are super amazing. They can be any size you want, and make good temporary super hide outs!

You know how, sometimes when you're playing and you are having so much fun that you forget anyone else is around. And sometimes that other person that is around has a camera. Then you kind of do something goofy? You know how that feels? Yeah, that's how I felt too.

I also learned something today. I learned how to be invisible! It's one of my new super powers! Like in this photo, I'm being invisible. If I can't see you, and you're not looking at me, that makes me invisible!

It was a good day! One day, maybe I'll give you a tour of the super secret tent fort hideout, but you have to promise that you won't let any bad guys see the photos! Wait, what am I saying!? I can't risk evil doers seeing any of the inside of the tent fort! If you want to see it, you'll just have to come over and play in it with me!
